Fell off the wagon...

I feel like we were doing so good taking pictures and keeping the blog updated and then nothing for a month! Ahhh. I'll try to do better.

So here are the people that have come to visit in the last four weeks....my mom and Gary camped out down the road in their trailer for a week, our friends from Seattle and their four kids came to stay one night, my dad and Mary Jo came for the 4th, and The Otts from Hong Kong stayed with us this past Friday-Tuesday. Then this Friday we are driving down to Greensboro to see Mama Phyllis and celebrate Uncle Seth's and Grant's birthdays!

The campground my mom and Gary stayed at had a waterpark, miniature golf, beach...all kinds of things. Gavin stayed with them one night and the next morning they went on an 8 1/2 mile bike ride which Gavin did on his bike that we found out later was broken and was like riding in a high gear. He said he was having to wait on them. haha And we forgot to take pictures, dang it!

We met our friends from Seattle at Mt. Vernon and toured around for a while and then came back and swam in the pool and BBQ'ed. It was great to see them. They left the next morning to stay in DC and do the tourist thing. Again no pictures!

We had a great time with my Dad and Mary Jo. It was uncomfortably hot so we didn't get to do as much sight seeing but we did get into Old Town and the National harbor. And we lit fireworks off with the neighborhood.

National Harbor is nice but it was 100 plus that day and there is little shade.

Peeps store...I never knew they made Mike and Ike and Hot Tamales. They have the biggest box of Hot Tamales I have ever seen.

Gavin doesn't really like candy as you can tell...

Here's the infamous chair they both love. This is the one time they have shared. Now Grant tries to push Gavin off if he is sitting in it. Guess who he learned that from? Gma and Papa got one for Grant's birthday so hopefully that will stop the fighting. :-)

We went to the Natural History Museum in DC with the Otts. It was a great museum and free. But it was really crowded so we are going to go back when schools in and during the week. We also finally took the Metro into DC which was easier than trying to drive and park. And Parking is free at the Metro on Sundays.
