Saturday Thurston and Susan and their little boy Ford came to visit. Trevor knows Thurston from officer school. They were going to fly their plane but the airstrips around here were on a no fly zone. So we just hung out around the house and they left Sunday morning to drive back. Everyone had a great time.
Here's Grants new trick. He loves to climb up the stairs and slide headfirst. He will do it as many times as will let him. He's also walking more now which is crazy!
Sunday I had a babysitter lined up and I was taking Trevor to a birthday lunch but Grant got a bad cold so we decided to do lunch as a family. We had a delicious lunch at King Street Blues! We are going back there for sure.
On the way home we picked up Victoria from the Metro station. Victoria is a swedish au pair that we know from Seattle. She is awesome and I totally want to steal her from her family in NYC. They were here visiting family in DC so she came and spent the night with us on Sunday.
Then Monday was Alexandria Jazz Festival in Old Town. Which could be Charleston. They look the same and have the same street names. We met Melissa, Jay, Harper and Brick who were in town visiting Jay's family! That was a great surprise. And we also met up with Jeff and Allison and their two kids. Trevor knows Jeff from the first boat he was stationed on out of VA and they used to come down and party with me at ECU! They have a son thats only a few days younger than Grant. What a great day.
Now we are getting ready for my Mom, Gary, Jennifer, Todd, Hannah and Hailey's visit this weekend!

Alexandria without traffic is like 35 minutes, we have to get together soon, email me. Mcathleenw@gmail.com
