Tennis, Dog Bites and BBQs

What a post title huh? This weekend Gavin got to try out his tennis racket on an actual court. I was able to use the sports feature on our camera to capture him hitting it over the net. He was really good at hitting it over and straight to Dad. He only missed the ball once out of 5 tries...better than me. :-)

Here is Trevor throwing it in.....

The hit....

Going.....
Going.....

And the catch...

Afterwards Gavin decided to play three musical instruments at once.

Our neighbor, Clare, moved off island on Sunday going to Boston. She had a skin rash on her hands and feet that would not clear up in this humid climate. She was really bummed to leave. Everyone came over for a farewell BBQ.
Here is Sean (Trevor's co-worker), Gavin, Noah, Cai and Nadia

Gavin with his friend Noah who is 4 and soooo cute! Gavin was tired but didn't want to miss the fun. He loves parties as much as his parents.

Some of the guests. The one in the long black dress is Clare. Check out the Pimmiso truck...it's painted to look like the SPAM cans on the island. Many Samoan vehicles have elaborate airbrushing. We have one monster truck in the village with DESERT RAT across the front windshield. That's Trevor's favorite. I will try to get a picture of my favorite...words can not describe.

Unfortunately Trevor was bit by one of the neighbors dogs this weekend. 5 dogs surrounded Trevor and Gavin while Gavin was riding his bike in front of our house and one of them bit Trevor in the back of the leg. It was scary and Trevor is lucky he didn't need stitches and there is no rabies on the island. We are also very lucky that Gavin stayed on his bike and didn't run. The dogs here are the worst part about this island. :-(
