WHAT 6 Months already?????

We can not believe that Grant is 6 months already! He is a shot takin' pro! This last visit he didn't even make a peep. The nurse said its the happiest she's seen a baby during a shot. What a difference from Gavin. Gavin on the other hand had to get his last two shots before Kindergarten. He did 1000 times better than he normally does but we still had some drama. :-) Poor guy I didn't want to tell him he was getting two so that was a surprise.

Grant:
16lbs (10th percentile)  26.5 inches (50th)
Gavin at 6 months:
17lbs and 26 inches

Grant continues to be a great baby. We get a lot of strangers commenting on his alertness. He is standing holding on to things (he stood by himself for about 5 seconds the other day). He has no fear. He wants to put his face in the bath water, he flings himself backwards, he is scooting around by getting up on his hind legs like a tripod and pushing forward. We can't leave him unsupervised on the bed anymore. He's always in a different place than where we left him. When he tips over or falls he rarely cries which is nice. He is VERY vocal. He says baba, ma ma, deet and a host of other sounds and screams. It is so cute when he says mama and mom. I don't think he knows its me..hes just saying sounds but its so cute. I am trying to get him to say da da. He has started to have some stranger anxiety. If its not Trevor or I holding him he starts to cry. He's not the best sleeper but he's not the worst either. He's pretty easy to get back to sleep even though he doesn't use a pacifier. He pretty much only sleeps on his stomach and loves to wake up at 5am! He doesn't really like being on his back unless he is playing with something and even then he rolls onto his stomach. His tooth is half way in and I am thinking more are on the way. Gavin already had two at this age but the slower the better I say. He's eating some solids. He loves watermelon, carrots, bananas with avocado, sweet potatoes and apples. He's drinking about 4oz of formula a day with a better digestive reaction now. He is so ticklish. When he grabs his own feet he starts chuckling. We started music class and hes the youngest by about 6 months. He is so funny. Everything goes in his mouth but he watches the other kids the whole time.

Showing off his standing/balancing skills.
WHAT I am 6 months! AHHH!!!

Here's his arching back move. He prefers to stand than sit.

Gavin on the left and Grant on the right. Same outfit 5 years later. :-) We sold the swing so no more monthly swing pictures.
